Alt Collective events are designed to connect and inspire women while supporting personal and professional growth.
Passionate about gender equality, our Jersey Female Career & Founder Stories and Real Talk workshops offer a supportive, relaxed and non-judgemental environment for women to discuss topics which are often not discussed and can hold us back from feeling fulfilled and achieving our potential.
There is so much strength in community and having the opportunity to have vulnerable conversations and hear wisdom from others who have had similar experiences.

What's the purpose of this event?
This session is part of Alt Collective’s Real Talk Workshop series—where we bring open, honest, and practical conversations to the topics that matter most. And when it comes to the topics that shape our lives, few things have as much impact as financial confidence & empowerment. In partnership with Shani Clark and Lisa Davies, De Carteret Wealth, this event is designed to help women take control of their financial future with confidence, clarity, and practical steps.
No matter your age, career stage, or financial background—it's never too early (or too late!) to take charge of your financial future.
The workshop will break down complex financial topics into simple, accessible steps, helping you understand how to build long-term security and independence, no matter where you are in your financial journey. Meet the Panellists:
Catherine Morgan - Founder & CEO of The Money Panel - an inspiring and incredibly entrepreneurial women, Catherine transitioned her career from banking to financial planning before founding an international financial coaching business. Catherine is passionate about helping women become financially resilient and is also a leading Financial Wellbeing Speaker on the emotions of money, as well as the International #1Amazon Author & Top 0.5% Global Podcaster ‘Its not about the money.’
Jess McGovern -having started out in teaching and then shifting her career and working for RJHS in the agriculture and horticulture sector - Jess is currently working at HYPHA an organisation who supports businesses seeking to innovate their sustainability practices, jess’s role within this is to help people connect where their local food comes from and celebrate food related career pathways on the island. Alongside this, for the last two years Jess has been partnered with Arbonne, a health and wellness community. Arbonne’s gut health programme helped Jess significantly, so she shares this with others who feel the nudge for a gut health boost alongside some self care accountability.
Emily Marie - Quantity Surveyor & Deputy Chair/Co-Founder of NAWIC Jersey, the Jersey branch of the National Association for Women in Construction - a pro-active and motivated individual, Emily studied Biological Sciences before transitioning to the construction industry in 2019. She is passionate about supporting women and fostering a positive, inclusive environment for networking and professional development.
Real Talk - Cultivating Confidence for Business Success
This workshop is for our community of female founders, freelancers and solopreneurs; get ready to step into your power and unlock your full potential! Brought to you in collaboration with Female Folio, a network launched by Brooks Macdonald, who have a passion for empowering women on their financial journey. Phoebe Chamier, Senior Investment Manager from Female Folio joined us as a guest speaker and contributor.

Julia Strachan @juliastrachan_ is a world-record holding Atlantic rower, Ambassador for Justice and Care and a 12 year career at Sky Sports News.
Serena Guthrie MBA @serenabob former England Netball Captain, Performance Lead and Executive Coach who also has extensive experience working with non-profit organisations.
